Best breakfast and more so the Manager Cliff the big Irish guy made us feel welcome from the start. He was polite and made sure that we had everything from the start. He recommended the full for us and we took his recommendation and was not disappointed. Everything cooked fresh and plenty on the plate. Compliments to the young chef as we saw him when he came from the kitchen to speak with Cliff. Nothing was any problem for the staff. We decided to head out around Alsager and we decided to go back for Lunch. My wife had the New York chicken and I had the cottage pie due to the last review. I could not complain the food was piping hot and was delicious. I do agree with the last review we did have to wait about 30mins but was well worth it. The staff were really pleasant and it was a girl with glasses who was there when we returned and cliff had gone. Cant wait to go back xx
Visited the pub today for lunch hadnt been before and will not go again it is a shame because the pub is lovely and comfortable but the service is rubbish we ordered breaded mushrooms with salad and garlic dip for starters and cottage pie after , we waited 40 mins and then the starters and main came out together. The garlic mushrooms were just a few dumped in a bowl no salad I asked shouldn't the be a garlic dip the bar tender shrugged his shoulders and said possibly walked away laughing no attempt to go and fetch any. The cottage pie was look warm and not a good one the bar tender that was seen to us hadnt a clue what he was doin do your self a favour give it a miss
Its pk but staff dont serve whos next to busy serving there mates and people who they know they dont watch the bar to see whos coming and next at the bar u can stand and wait for quite a while while they chat with thete mates
Good meeting place a lot of young hip hop people tend to visit mostly at night but there are regulars, food is good drinks are a bit pricey but that depends on what your drinking staff are pleasant. In the Summer you can sit on the front and watch the World go buy good for people watching.
